Lovely Vicious
by Sara Wolf

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The cover was what intrigued me initially. The story however blew me away. Utterly and completely threw me.

Definitely didn't see that one coming when I started it. Now let me make this clear for you, this is by no means your average teen romance. Nope. So if you're expecting sappy, sugary sweet romance, then this isn't the book for you. However, if you're keen on mystery, suspense and intrigue topped off with the most brilliant kinds of humour, what are you waiting for!? Lovely Vicious will knock your socks off.

There a so many different layers of darkness and solid ice that surround both of the main characters and I absolutely loved. Devoured it. I couldn't put it down and went through a serious phase of book mourning after I turned the last page. IT CANT BE OVER. NO. NO IT CANT BE.

But it was and I had to deal with waiting for the second one. Absolute torture.

The suspense and the cloud of mystery revolving around Jack Hunter nearly killed me, I have to admit and I wasn't particularly fond of his 'extra curricular activities' at the beginning, but man, how quickly things can change. Finding out the truth about him (or half as far as the first book goes) hit me like two tons of bricks, maybe add the obligatory piano that typically falls on someones head in one of those old cartoons. Does that paint a good enough picture for you?

I'm still trying to find accurate terminology to describe just how much I loved Isis, by Merlin. I adored her. Wanted to be her. Wanted to hug her and most of all wanted a friend just like her. Her character was so well built and I loved her snark. Isis Blake, you are my hero.

Hats off to Sara!

All Fall Down by Ally Carter My rating: 3 of 5 stars Super savvy spy-thriller by NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Ally Carter. Need I say more?! Recipe for kick-ass spy thriller: 5 spoonfuls of dark espionage 4 ounces of HOT Russian love interest 2 tsp of ambiguity add 1 ounce of creative genius. Stir generously and consume with care. Oh, Carter, you've done it again... All Fall Down     is the first in Ally Carter's Embassy Row Series and starts off with a bang. The story combines the joys of a good thriller with the right amount of fine-tuned conspiracy. I must confess that I wasn't the biggest fan of the Heist Society books, for whatever unknown reason I couldn't quite connect to the characters. I tried and tried, but in the end decided to move on. I know, big, fat sigh. Regardless, I was really excited for this one to hit the 'virtual' shelves. Everyone knows I'm sucker for a good spy-thriller wit
