Lunch time success in the office. Thanks to the never ending rain, I decided to stay in the office, had next to no motivation to eat my lunch out in the rain and so, I just stayed at my desk and decided to start on something cute and bookish to add to the collection. Voila, today's theme was  ''SKIP A HEARTBEAT''  What do you like to do in your lunch breaks? Tweet us with your favourite lunch time activities! Hugs for you all,  xo

CRAZY SNEAK PEEK!!

Exciting news, 'Jewel' fans,  we've got a an exclusive deleted scene for you! It seems like we've all been waiting for this month for a decade, desperately waiting, wishing for September to come sooner, but now, IT IS FINALLY HERE. And with the release, comes an exclusive delete scene, just for you . Now isn't that something to celebrate?  Yep, we think so too.  So, The Wishing Well, is part of a neat collection of pretty cool stories for Kids. These tell the stories of the two sisters who are granted a wish after saving a water spirit. (Sounds pretty cool already, right? ) The stories focus on how exactly those wishes impacted the sisters lives.  Well, we're certainly looking forward to seeing how that story ends. (If your not entirely familiar with Amy's 'Jewel', please watch the book trailer before you start reading the deleted scene!)  > WATCH THE JEWEL BOOK TRAILER HERE   <  Well, without further ...

Review: The Young World by ChrIs Weitz BY @bookw0rmtales

''Welcome to New York, a city ruled by teens. After a mysterious Sickness wipes out the rest of the population, the young survivors assemble into tightly run tribes. Jefferson, the reluctant leader of the Washington Square tribe, and Donna, the girl he's secretly in love with, have carved out a precarious existence among the chaos. But when another tribe member discovers a clue that may hold the cure to the Sickness, five teens set out on a life-altering road trip to save humankind. The tribe exchanges gunfire with enemy gangs, escapes cults and militias, braves the wilds of the subway and Central Park ...and discovers truths they could never have imagined.'' I am a massive fan of YA Dystopian novels, (aren't we all?!), so of course I was intrigued and excited by the chance to read ' The Young World by  Oscar-nominated writer and director Chris Weitz Quick read of the blurb and you're thinking, "ugh here we go, same old same old", but r...

So guess what I'm finally reading? (Includes AWESOME BOOK TALK WITH XTINE)

So I finally picked up the Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me Series last week... and I'm already half way through the second book.  I remember starting Shatter Me quite a while ago, but couldn't really get into it. Maybe I just wasn't in the right head space, who knows, so I decided to give it a miss for the time being.  I heard so much great stuff about the series, so I knew I had to pick up the series again sometime. Just HAD to and well, I did!  And voila, here we are.  I still had a bit of a hard time getting through the first few chapters of Shatter Me, but did rather enjoy it by the end. HUZZAH  (Review coming soon!) For now,  Let me illustrate overall feels with obligatory collection of suitable gifs.  Half way through the second book, I still find myself TEAM TORN. ACK. We'll see how I feel by the end.  Feels at the beginning of the Series: Half way through Shatter Me: ...

What bugs you about books? #Fridayrant with Emily

All bookworms have pet peeves when it comes to books. Wether you're watching other people with their books and wanting to scream, take the book away and write them a book on "how to read and handle books your way (the right way)",  or wether you want to write big, long, angry letters to publisher about the books they have published.  I.  Please don't start reading your book by cracking the spine and bending the book about.  DO YOU WANT IT TO BREAK?! DO YOU LIKE TO WATCH BOOKS IN PAIN?!   Seriously, I can't deal with my need to run dramatically over and rescue the book from your uncaring hands everytime I'm on the bus.  II.   Please don't ask to borrow my books if you don't have any intention of starting it in the next few weeks! My books are my children and I don't like parting with them.  III . Don't go t...

Book Review: ALL MY RESTLESS LIFE TO LIVE BY DEE DETARSIO

Format: Kindle, Paperback 360 pages Average rating: 3.94 Our rating: 3.5 out of 5 Literary awards: Nominee for Next Generation Indie Book award ('13) & The San Diego book awards ('13) Buy it here: Amazon | Barnes & Noble  | As with any other review copy, I start off slow, read every page carefully, highlight favourites and bits that I think need changing... but not with this one. Oh Dee, you comedy genius. I've always enjoyed the fantasy aspect of Dee's work, as you never quite know what to expect. Her stories are unpredictable, always surprising and most of all, heart warming, and this one was no different. The story follows Elle Miller, a bright young woman  who writes for a popular soap opera for a living.  Life would be wonderful, could be so wonderful- But is it? Oh no. Far from it, actually. After the untimely death of her father, Elle feels more lost than ever and still struggles to cope a year after his passing.  When her pre...

Novelicious book review- How to get a (love) life - ROSIE BLAKE

How to get a (love) life is Rosie Blake's fabulous debut and I was fortunate enough to get a copy  from the sweet ladies over at Novelicious.  HTGALL had been on my TBR for several months and so I was particularly excited to get started  on it once I  finally got my hands on it.  So the next day, I believe it was a sunny tuesday,  I made myself a lovely cuppa, popped on some Miles Davis and went outside  into the garden, kindle in the left hand, cuppa in the other.  I  sat down and got started.  (Ooo, and let's not forget the custard creams here. A definite must!) So there I was, basking in the glorious sun, burning through the pages like there's no tomorrow. For those who haven't read it yet, (Tsk, tsk!)  the story follows young  and petite  Nicola Brown on her quest to  find, well... you guessed it, to find  herself a nice bit of romance.   The ingredients:  1 x s...
